Last Thursday was Lander's Field Day for all the 5th and 6th graders in Lander. Micah won 4 ribbons -- 2 5th place, 1 4th place, and 1 2nd place. He was very concerned about beating Colby Irene in the mile run, and he didn't quite do it -- he came in 2nd place among all the 5th graders in Lander, which I thought was pretty great (but of course he would have rather have been 1st, but Colby was first). Still, he probably got more ribbons than any of the other kids there so that was great. He was:
4th place in the 200 meter dash
5th place in the shotput
5th place in the 100 meter dash
2nd place in the mile
He's a speedy guy!

Way to go Micah! Looks like you have quite an athletic future ahead of you! And don't worry - there's always next year to beat Colby!
