James took Lizzie to the ER yesterday. She had a fever of 103.9 when she got there and they got it down to 97 before she left. She had a very, very bad ear infection in her right ear. That is her first ear infection. She has been very fussy and grumpy, and sleeping a lot. It is very sad to see her so out of sorts. She's usually such a happy, cheerful, easy-going baby. She's been wanting to be held all the time and she hasn't wanted to eat. Luckily she will still nurse, or else she'd be totally starving! We wonder if she might be getting more teeth also because she's been chewing on her fingers. Poor little girl!

Sick Little Lizzie Lu

It's almost just as hard for the mom as it is for the child when s/he is sick, don't you think? As awful as it is that she has an ear infection, it's great that it's only her first. I think it's awesome you're still nursing.
