Going Down in Glory

All good things must come to an end, and what better way to end than two action-packed games where our little soccer players show forth their very best effort! We lost both of our ending games, including against the team that we had beat twice before. But we were short 3 players during that game and those of our players who usually held back and didn't contribute very much showed their true colors by stepping up and carrying the game for us. It was our most exciting game yet and I was so proud of the entire team.

We ended the season with an ice cream party at our house, which James had to miss since he was in Casper. Sarah Larsen was our assistant coach & she did a great job this season. She plays on the high school soccer team, so she won't be able to help in the spring, but I think she had fun this fall helping with the team.

Micah had a fun time being a ref again. The kids enjoy him, and after his last game they surrounded him in a group hug to "thank the ref." Hopefully we can still play soccer for fun over the next few months until the soccer season starts again in the spring!
