Meanwhile, as James has been off having a grand time in Casper, we've been hanging out at home, running from one activity to the next like we always do. Tomorrow will be the official close of the soccer season and we're all very sad to see it end. Micah & the rest of the refs meet at Parks & Rec to turn in their time sheets and equipment tomorrow afternoon. Micah requested that it be on his birthday -- that shows you how devoted to soccer he is!
But speaking of soccer, the other day the boys were in the front yard kicking the soccer ball around and having fun. Suddenly Jamey ran in the house and shouted for me to come quick and see what Micah had just done. I came outside and found Micah laying on the grass with a guilty look on his face. Ian and Jamey were holding a piece of our rain gutter where the water is supposed to travel down from the roof to our grass. Micah had kicked a soccer ball so hard that it knocked this part of the raingutter right off the house. Ian was trying to put it back together, but I told him to just lay it in the grass until Daddy got home from his trip.
A few minutes later we all loaded into the van to go watch the Sandalls & Crane's last soccer game (how could we go a night without soccer?!?) and this is what I saw:
