Happy Thoughts from the Past Week

Happy Thoughts from the Past Week:
  • pounding hammers on stubborn nails
  • boy scout shirts covered in glue & sawdust
  • our very own barn-raising
  • very generous people who donate their time, talents, and resources
  • 11, 12, and 13 year old boys willing to give up a Saturday to help a fellow scout
  • a scout master willing to work hard on his birthday
  • shiny fire trucks with bells and whistles
  • snowballs in the hot tub
  • the ambulance next door was not really needed
  • snow that melted by the end of the week
  • will it be spring soon?
  • late-night special date with Teancum
  • a very extravagant scavenger hunt with lots of friends
  • a faxed love note from James
  • now that Colby is a deacon, we can sometimes have our entire family on the row at church again, since Colby occasionally sits on the stand with the bishopric now. It sure is crowded with everybody on the row!
  • I absolutely love, love, LOVE my new computer! Do you know how fast it burns dvds? I LOVE IT!!!!!

Classic Quote from the Past Week:

  • Cameron: I asked him how the youth fireside went. He said, "It was great! I offered cookies to all the girls!" I have yet to hear who the speaker was or what it was about...
  • Rebecca: "Did you know that Sharpay is in charge of her family?" Did you know that Rebecca IS Sharpay? And if you tell her that, she takes it as a compliment.

We were pretty worried about Lucy, but it turns out that after her knee-replacement surgery, her home-health nurse noticed her blood pressure was elevated and said she had no choice but to call an ambulance. Lucy was soooooo embarrassed. We're glad she was fine.

This video is Lizzie playing with the dog during the Eagle project. She thought it was sooooo funny that the dog would fetch things for her.
