I think we have found Ian's calling in life. He's not super coordinated and needs some work at dribbling and a lot of help at guarding (his coach and teammates spend most of the time yelling, "Ian, who are you supposed to be guarding?"), but when he throws the basketball he makes a basket more often than not. I would say that he definitely has scored more points than anyone else on his team. He is a terrible ball hog, though. His coach (and I) will be yelling, "Ian pass the ball! Don't hog the ball!" but then he'll shoot a basket and make it. Jamey is very good at guarding and he hasn't made a basket yet, but he's come close. The trouble for him is that he's in 3rd grade and he's on the 4th grade team. They wanted to make life easier for me so they put Ian and Jamey on the same team, and Jamey is the only 3rd grader on the team. Quite often he'll be open and his fellow players won't throw the ball to him. I feel bad for him, but he gets his glory days during soccer season. Right now it's Ian's turn to shine. If we could just get him not to be disrespectful to his coach, we'd have it made!

Jamey is good at guarding his man. He burns a lot of calories chasing his guy around.
